Welcome to Bur Oaks Farm!

Bur Oaks Farm, named for the grand bur oaks that stands guard as you enter the farm is a peaceful, productive oasis, with many opportunities for visitors to experience a small alpaca farm, and learn how a place like this works. The moment visitors step on the property at Bur Oaks Farm, they are greeted by a furry welcoming committee. Not only do they meet Leo and Bailey, the two Polish Tatra Sheepdogs as guard dogs along with Lucy and Lula Mae, but they are welcomed by the stars of the farm, a herd of friendly, fuzzy Huacaya alpacas that line up to see them. The farm also boasts a beautiful 2-bedroom guest house, a large, organically managed garden, acres of beautiful land anchored by a peaceful pond filled with bass and varieties of fish-for catch and release adventures. The focal point is of course, the herd of alpacas. They range in age, from babies to mature, both male and females. Their fiber is one of the finest in the world, compared to cashmere and others. Home to 13 alpacas with two babies on the ground, Bur Oaks Farm offers tours where people can meet the alpacas, learn their names, pet them and feed them, along with the opportunity to shop in the store containing products made with alpaca fiber, a non-flammable, hypoallergenic and extremely soft material.
